    • OAU Peeps News Agency

      Apr 2014 - Apr 2016
      Founder & Editor In Chief

Realizing the challenges that came with accessing real-time and accurate information on the happenings within the university community, I decided to establish the foremost online campus newspaper in Obafemi Awolowo University as a student, to address and provide solutions to those challenges. OAU Peeps News Agency started out as a forum board but metamorphosed into a full-fledged online news magazine on July 21, 2014. We are a hub of information primarily designed to serve students, staff, alumni, aspirants, and friends of Obafemi Awolowo University with the latest undiluted, truthful, and real news on campus and beyond in the 21st-century style of digital journalism.Amongst other reasons for creation, the agency exists to offer a rare opportunity for the 'voiceless' and 'commoners' with unheard voices within and beyond the OAU community. Basically, OAU Peeps sets out to redefine campus journalism by championing freedom and justice on the side of informing our audience.Since its creation in 2014, OAU Peeps News Agency and its members have won and been nominated for several campus and national awards.
