  The core focus of my role at e.fundamentals was to write software that extracted data from supermarket websites – including Tesco and Sainsbury’s – to create a database.We then used the data to spot issues with product listings for big FMCG companies like Nestle, Coca Cola and PepsiCo – for example incorrect descriptions or out-of-date imagery. The software could also be set to alert product owners of price changes, helping them to manage pricing strategies in real-time.So clients could see products’ image histories, I used S3 to store the files – using the Java API so that it could be done automatically. And so we could release the software at any time and at low risk, I used Docker to package it and Jenkins to automatically deploy it to Google Compute Engine. Show less

  I ran Design Pandr with my wife. She’s the designer. I handled the digital elements of our projects.Naturally, as a qualified AWS Cloud Practitioner and Solutions Architect – Associate, I helped our clients to make the most of all the benefits AWS can offer.Over the four years, I’ve also completed courses in Docker and Kubernetes to learn more about what containers could do; and Python, because I wanted to automate everything in AWS.

  When the pandemic started, I wanted to do something that would help save lives, so I joined a healthcare company called Cegedim HS. I started working on their CI/CD pipelines, using AWS’s Developer Tools. I automated manual processes and added some new features.After that, I worked on their services, using AWS’s Serverless technologies. I migrated some of their existing services, increasing security and performance.I continue to work in these areas today, including any foundational work, using AWS’s Security, Identity and Compliance products.Right now, I’m studying for AWS Developer – Associate certification.
