  It all started as an experiment in entrepreneurship in the web hosting and development business: with minimal to zero investments, just fun and a motto "simplicity at the core".minimalist was powered by a server (stripped down desktop PC) in an apartment and started up by hosting some local music bands websites. Things evolved and one year later I was developing websites for major rock clubs in Bucharest and hosting web, email and file services for a variety of clients.Maintaining ​all the infrastructure and dealing with customer demands was both hard and rewarding.   As a Cloud Services Admin I am focused on multiple perspectives like business goals, security and optimization in correlation with a "as a service" approach.We designed the hardware backend and successfully deployed a public cloud of Microsoft Dynamics CRM- and SharePoint-based solutions. This allowed us to build both the physical infrastructure and the knowledge to give our customers SaaS capabilities way early than any other local IT provider. While I was also in charge of developing custom Dynamics CRM solutions for enterprises, maintenance and further development of the cloud platform was my responsibility.Another component of our public cloud consists of backup services. We have implemented a home and SMB offering and are currently looking to expand our vision in partnership with Veeam as a Cloud & Service Provider.Maintaining and developing shared & dedicated hosting (Windows & Linux), physical servers, VPS and collocation through our own Datacenter also make my day-to-day responsibilities.Some highlights in important projects throughout the years:- designed and developed a custom external and internal portal based on Microsoft SharePoint for a key public authority and helped setup the backend & production, backup and retention infrastructure powered by Fujitsu, VMware and EMC;- implementation of data loss prevention solution, Digital Guardian in a major electricity company;- upgrade of data loss prevention solution, Digital Guardian in a major financial institution;- implementation of HP Data Protector & HP Tape Library for Microsoft Exchange backup in a key public authority;- implementation of border and endpoint security solutions from Check Point, Fortinet, BitDefender, Panda Security and ESET;- hardware deployment and infrastructure setup in a county-wide project for the local government authorities.
