  As the first-ever Residence Life Coordinator at Daytona State College, I provided leadership, direction, and oversight for the activities and operations of the Residence Hall. I oversaw the facility to ensure a safe, healthy, and secure living environment for all 252 residents. I acted as a liaison for the DSC Housing Corporation, Admissions, Student Accounts, Counseling and Accessibility Services, Financial Aid, Information and Technology, Facilities and Maintenance, and the Athletics Department. I coordinated office operations including room assignments, move in and move out, key access management, housing application reports, work order requests, health and safety inspections, and housing paperwork collection/management. I selected, trained, supervised, and evaluated all Residence Hall staff, including Resident Assistants and Work Studies. I responded to inquiries and/or concerns from students, parents, and college staff to answer questions and ensure the Residence Hall is operating efficiently. I cultivated a safe, welcoming, and engaging living environment that encouraged bonding and personal development. I maintained high visibility and availability to my residents, including attending student events and college athletic games, and regularly interacting with students both during and outside of office hours. I collaborated with the Student Life Coordinator and Student Life Director to operate the Residence Life Budget, plan and execute Residence Hall activities, and promote campus-wide activities within the Residence Hall. I assisted with implementing the college's Student Code of Conduct by serving on the Judicial Affairs Committee and enforcing all college and Residence Life Department rules. I served in an on-call rotation and respond to all emergencies or crises within the Residence Hall.
