  Jeff Silveira was hired as BICSI in 2009 and tasked with creating an industry recognized standards program. Serving as the primary executive staff for the standards activity and initially under limited supervision of the CEO and BICSI Board of Directors, he transformed a 25 member, US centric committee into a internationally recognized and productive ANSI-Accredited Standards Developer (ASD) within the ICT infrastructure and equipment market. Key results include: • Published 17 new and revised American National Standards within first 10 years • Growth to over 500 individuals within 5 years; maintained 15% international participation • Adoption of several standards into requirements within state, federal, and foreign national standards, regulations and other authoritative documentation.
