      Significant Support Needs Intern

Through this internship I taught, aided, and supervised 15 children in special education program at Summit View Elementary. There were four other paraprofessionals in the classroom, so I collaborated on new activities and streamlined education systems with them. This internship challenged me in ways I was not expecting. The children I worked with were on varying levels of the spectrum, and their love for life was inspiring. I'll never forget the moment one of the students ran up to me and hugged me for the first time. This internship fostered a compassion in me that would not be what it is today if not for this group of students. Show less

      Finance Intern

In this role, I collaborated with financial management and assisted with financial forecasting and estimating. Most importantly, I aided in the financial organization of the company, including account reconciliation. This company is small, so I was able to have a hands-on experience, in which I attended meetings for potential clients and contractors with the executives of the company. This internship awarded me the opportunity to realize my potential and passion for this industry. I loved the fast paced aspect, and the human interaction. Show less

      House Event Coordinator

In this role, I planned and executed multiple events in our school house. Most notably, myself and one other student planned our Thanksgiving meal for over 120 individuals. This event was one of class and sophistication, and is something I will remember forever. I sat next to friends from around the world, from Serbia to Brazil, and grew in connections with people that I would have otherwise not known. This job combined responsibility, organization, fun, and a lot of Excel spreadsheets. I enjoyed every moment of it; it made me realize that you can influence people while also recognizing the administrative and financial side of things. Show less

      Aug 2018 - May 2020

My main role was to enhance the process of student recruitment for abroad locations, specifically our school's Lausanne, Switzerland program. Pepperdine is consistently ranked one of the top five schools in the nation for study abroad participation, so my role as a student recruiter was vital to maintaining that status nationwide. Day to day, I assisted parents and students in their understanding of Pepperdine’s International Programs, as well as aid in administrative tasks within our office. Monthly, I organized 1-2 events for over 80 students who will be attending Lausanne in the fall. My love for Swiss culture, Pepperdine's Lausanne program, and travel has made this job one of the most enjoyable that I have had. Each day challenged me to come up with new ways to retain students, and prepare them for the life changing experience they will be going on. Show less

As President, I am a member ex officio, so I serve as an overseeing member for all chapter committees and panels. Each week I lead Chapter Council meetings, as well as chapter meetings. There are 15 members on my Chapter Council, and 80 members within my chapter whom I manage on a daily basis. I also communicate regularly with our Headquarters and school's Panhellenic office. This role has given me an opportunity to pair my creativity with leadership: something I have not had the chance to do as in depth in previous roles. Show less
