  My first assignment was on board the USS MINNEAPOLIS –ST. PAUL (SSN 708) home ported in Norfolk, VA. I made two North Atlantic Deployments, advanced to Petty Officer Second Class, and successfully completed two major shipyard maintenance periods in Newport News, VA. Based on my training and mission experience, I was hand-selected to train the next generation of Submarine Sonar Technicians at Submarine Training Facility in Norfolk, VA.

  Master Training Specialist / Leading Petty Officer

  While serving as an instructor, I advanced to Petty Officer First Class, qualified as a Master Training Specialist (MTS), and served as an MTS Mentor, Command Career Counselor, Sonar Division Leading Petty Officer, Sonar Pre-Deployment Training Lead Evaluator, Tactics Learning Standards Officer and Assistant Command Learning Standards Officer. My efforts as a Course Curriculum Model Manager resulted in Submarine Learning Facility Norfolk being the first site to offer the Submarine Sonar Technician “C” school pipeline in module format. This dedication to the mission and commitment to excellence led to my selection as the site’s 2008 Instructor of the Year and acceptance to Officer Candidate School. Show less

  Submarine Supply Officer

  Led personnel and managed a $5M annual logistics operations while deployed to the AFRICOM area with multiple shipboard repair periods in Diego Garcia. Additionally, I coordinated the ship’s hazardous material program, enforcing environmental protection standards, which culminated in FLORIDA’s selection as the CNO’s 2012 Environmental Award Winner. My operation was also awarded the Supply Department Excellence Award for Commander Submarine Squadron Sixteen in 2011 and 2012.

  Leading a small cadre of Officers and Government Civilians through the programming, planning, budgeting, and execution processes for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program’s research and development, nuclear fuel processing, nuclear operator training pipeline, and contracted manpower management. These efforts include multi-year forecasts for over $20B and nearly 50,000 man-years.

Oversees recruitment, marketing & advertisement, talent management, retention and staffing efforts for the United States Naval Academy, Naval Post Graduate School, Naval War College, NROTC opportunities, Joint Educations command and other Naval Education commands.

  Leads and provides functional oversight to 1800 Navy recruiters, geographically dispersed across 22 states, Europe, D.C., and Puerto Rico. His operation recruits and transforms 15,000 civilians into Sailors and Officers annually. Oversees production, operations and personnel management of an 80 person team dispersed throughout 3 states; covering every aspect of Navy officer and enlisted recruiting in eastern Tennessee, Northern Mississippi and all of Arkansas. My team recruits, onboards and ships over 500 future Sailors annually.
