In my time at Cross, I served as the English Department Chair, Summer School English Coordinator, Curriculum Committee Chair, and as a member of the Yearbook Committee. I was also a finalist for Berkeley County District Teacher of the Year in 2000

  Responsible for conducting interviews, presentations, public speaking engagements, establishing and maintaining contacts in area schools, producing market analysis, and processing qualified people to become members of the National Guard. I maintained mastery of ever-changing incentive programs, enlistment criteria, and programs for the National Guard.I spent one year developing and implementing the retention policies for a 3000 member organization which resulted in a personnel loss decrease of 5%.
