  During my time volunteering at Erin Mills Town Centre, I had the incredible opportunity to work with young children as well as individuals from various age groups. As a TRUSTED volunteer, I was given responsibilities that required attention to detail and reliability, such as being entrusted with locks, access to private areas, and operating walkie-talkies for effective communication. Interacting with young children allowed me to develop patience, empathy, and the ability to create a safe and engaging environment. Additionally, working alongside people of different ages helped me enhance my interpersonal skills, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. There were several events that we held such as line-ups of large crowds, recycled material collection, halloween decorating, and more!! Through this experience, I learned the importance of accountability, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring the well-being of those in my care, solidifying my passion for community involvement and making a POSITIVE IMPACT in people's lives!   During my time working at Takumi, I gained invaluable experience in the fast-paced world of hospitality. From greeting and seating guests, to taking orders and ensuring their satisfaction, I developed exceptional customer service skills. This task was a special opportunity for me to put my language skills to the test. I helped guests using Spanish, Persian, Portuguese, and more. With my language skills I was able to easily aid customers to choose foods according to their dietary needs and preference. I became adept at managing high-pressure situations, multitasking efficiently, and maintaining professionalism even during demanding shifts. Collaborating with a diverse group of co-workers from different backgrounds taught me the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability. I improved organizational abilities through handling special requests from customers, coordinating order-changes, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Overall, my experience at Takumi Japanese BBQ equipped me with a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining and grilling experiences to guests.   During my time at Moe Mind Designs in the GTA, I showcased my versatility and took on a variety of roles. As a Graphic Designs Assistant, I effectively handled client inquiries and ensured their satisfaction in the absence of my supervisor. Also, I engaged in various technological tasks, such as aided laminating, vinyl peeling, knife carving, and product packaging, which improved my attention to detail and technical skills. Additionally, I contributed to bookkeeping activities, demonstrating my ability to manage financial records accurately. Moreover, I played a role in social media content, promoting and showcasing the company's work. Lastly, I had the chance to work on a car decal project, utilizing precision to deliver visually appealing designs on a vehicle. This experience allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set in graphic design, customer service, technology, and marketing, making me a valuable asset to any creative team!!P.S. I am so THANKFUL for the experience that this workplace provided and would not have wanted it any different!!! Such a GREAT group of people to work with!! Show less

  TedPack Leader

  I have recently been selected to be a TedPack Leader at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)/ Ryerson University! I have been carefully selected for this role to be the individual who informs my fellow classmates about any events or social gatherings happening at the university. My role is vital as I also am the person they go to if they have a bad day, need information, or are overall unsettled in a certain situation. The fact that they are able to simply approach me in person or chat with me through apps on devices is convinient because while I may be helping a student out online on Google Chat, I could also be helping another student in person. Once again, thanks to the accessibility of the resources provided by my university I am more than happy to support the class of 2027 to success! look forward to doing my best in this new role I am taking and I know that I will stick out for the better in order to assist my other classmates!!!
