  I was employed by Outposts Ltd as a freelance instructor, delivering multi-activity programmes at their base in Somerset as well as at off site locations around the South-West.My main role during this time I was working as a facilitator on their management training and leadership programmes for a wide range of professional groups.We ran several one day events in Somerset, and for two years I worked on multiple residential weeks, developing leadership skills for the Babcock Network rail apprenticeship programme.   Director and IFMGA Mountain Guide

  In 2009 I setup Vertical Frontiers to cater for my increasing number of clients wanting to rock climb in the south-west. From that the company has grown and we have taken clients rock climbing all over the UK, winter climbing in Scotland and on expeditions to Nepal.In 2013 I moved to the French alps with my family where I now guide in the mountains year round. In the alps mountain guiding is regulated (unlike the UK) and I hold the international recognised mountain guide diploma.In the summer my guiding work is mostly traditional mountaineering and rock climbing, and during the winter off piste skiing and ski touring.   I had freelanced for the Dartmoor Centres for many years, and in 2010 I took a job there as the Chief Instructor.It is a great little centre with a close knit staff team, and I enjoyed developing the activity programme and training the new staff members whilst I was there.It was my role to oversee the day to day activity sessions, in particular the rock climbing, both with groups on the hill as well as monitoring equipment, risk assessments and operating procedures.
