  Starting at the age of 13 I worked as a strawberry picker in the summers at Klickers Strawberry Farms. I worked as a picker until I turned 14 and from then on I picked/bossed in the mornings and worked on the production line and doing other related farm work in the afternoons. Klickers provided an opportunity for me to learn the importance of hard work as well as how to interact with co-workers and bosses from an early age.

  Challenge Course Facilitator

  At Camp Mivoden I worked as a challenge course facilitator teaching groups team building activities and the importance of getting out of their comfort zone in a safe and controlled setting. I primarily worked with youth but also facilitated experiences for adult groups as well. This job gave me skills in facilitating teamwork among individuals as well as the importance of growing and learning through experience based activities.

  PCT Center Coordinator

  As PCT Center Coordinator I worked in a guest relations position, welcoming and registering incoming hikers off of the Pacific Crest Trail and coordinating food, showers and laundry for them. Also with this job I organized and ran a postal re-supply spot which allowed hikers to send themselves packages with provisions inside. Through this job I developed experience in guest relations and hospitality practices as well as organization in an office setting.

  As the Farm Manager at Frog Hollow Farm, I helped run the day-to-day operations as a seasonal worker during the growing season. My position involved working with employees, bookkeeping, meeting with customers and vendors, as well as other management and office tasks. This experience was valuable to me as it helped me develop efficient time management skills with day-to-day operations as well as managing interactions with customers on both the B2B and B2C levels.

  For on-campus employment during college, I worked as a student worker for the Center for Library Engagement and Research (CLEAR) at the Peterson Memorial Library.   While at Chesed Farms I joined the ownership team through the development and implementation of a microgreen growing operation to complement the already running mushroom operation. I also assisted in a advisory role to help develop new sales channels for our products as well as assisting in minor day to day activities and markets around Eastern Washington. This role was a valuable experience in what it means to own and operate a small business and how to work through the day to day challenges that can arise as well as utilize the tools, assets, and people you have to generate positive change and growth within a business and a community.   Food and Beverage Specialist

  For the past year and a half I have done the deep dive into the Food & Beverage Industry working among various restaurants in the Greater Walla Walla Valley. I have spent the past year learning the ins & outs of the industry through saying yes to many different roles in an attempt to gain a broad understanding of what this industry looks like. From washing dishes, to helping with caterings for 400+ people, bartending for private events, working in a James Beard nominated restaurant and helping open up a new restaurant as a manager I have gained valuable knowledge and experience in my time so far. Detailed below are the various roles and locations I have worked for and I am more than happy to expand on my experiences with anyone who is interested.   For the Spring 2023 Quarter I was contracted by Rogers Adventist School to fill in and continue the art education for their 7th &n 8th grade classes after other educators were unable to. This was a fun role for me to jump into and I chose to focus on non-traditional mediums to try to expand my students understanding on what art can look like. During our quarter we completed projects ranging from Printmaking, Ceramics, Quilling and Collage, Origami, Paper Mache, as well as exercises in art using various color scales with constraints. This was a valuable experience in creative lesson planning, classroom management as well as understanding and adjusting to meet various levels of engagement and understanding among my students.   During the 2023 growing season I operated on my own as a Produce Broker between small farms in the Walla Walla Valley and a group of 20+ restaurants in the greater Seattle area. Coordinating and buying high grade Organic and Sustainably grown produce from local growers and then driving and selling to Restaurant Customers I had developed in the Seattle food scene. I also functioned as a carrier on the return trip for businesses in the Walla Walla region who needed small scale refrigerated back hauls. This was a phenomenal experience and taught me how to cold call, generate sales leads, open new restaurant accounts, and over all hustle to buy and sell a premium but also perishable product.
