In previous works of thesis, the performances of this device have been investigated and here, I present a method to introduce pyroelectricity in the system in order to enhance its performances. A colloidal mixture of barium titanate and ferrofluid has been created and characterized to observe the contribution to current and voltage production brought by the introduction of barium titanate. Finally, the cell that will be used to perform visual observation of the thermomagnetic motion and more reliable measurements on this mixture has been designed to allow the investigation of different magnetic and thermal gradient configuration.       The Horizon 2020 COgITOR (COlloidal cybernetIc sysTem tOwaRds 2030) has been financed by European commission. The aim is to develop a new version of what nowadays is known as robot relying on a different paradigm which shift the attention of soft and deformable materials/liquids. Nowadays, if you want to give machines or artificial systems human qualities, sensors, artificial intelligence and computers are usually used. The resulting technologies usually have a solid state of aggregation. COgITOR represents a novel approach to cybernetics, proposing the study of Colloidal (liquid) Cybernetic Systems (CCS), a multifunctional liquid-based platform that we have designed to be capable of pressure sensing (i), computing and data storage (ii), energy harvesting (iii) and integrating fully custom electronics (iv). A CCS provides operation in extreme environments by definition, having distributed architecture (homogeneous liquid plus random network architecture), being fault-tolerant and featuring self-healing capabilities.
