      (NOTE: Break in service from Jan 1989 - Sep 1990 - worked at TRW MEAD)• Designed and coded software for the vending machines delivered to the Chicago, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Edmonton, Sweden, San Diego, Atlanta and Vancouver transit authorities. XML controlled patron GUI interface and application functions to interface with peripheral subsystems (coin acceptor, pinpad, debit/credit card reader, bill handler, printer, audio, ticket transport, Smartcard readers and encoders), digital I/O and bankcard and central computer servers. Code was written in C and C++ (Windows O/S). • Designed and coded software for the vending machines used in the New York and New Jersey transit authorities. Involved in all phases (requirements, task estimates and scheduling, preliminary and detailed design reviews, code implementation, system integration and field testing). Received the CTS President’s Award for leading one of the upgrade projects that had zero defects and no action reports within the warranty period. • Served as an internal auditor for five years to help ensure company compliance with ISO 9000 standards. • Coded software for the Station Monitor and Display System (SMADS) used by the Washington DC Transit. • Coded software for the NYCTA pilot turnstile. Software was written in PL/M 86 with the RM/X 86 Executive which provided control of a patron display, token acceptor, magnetic swipe reader, turnstile, audit registers, audible alarms and maintained communications with a station computer. • Coded software for the automatic testing of printed circuit boards used on the London Underground Automatic Fare Collection equipment. • Coded software (PL/M 80 & 51) for the ticket vendors, gates and status display monitors for the WMATA, Miami Dade Transit and Kowloon-Canton Railway System. Meetings also held to identify any roadblocks which may hinder progress. Updates the External Interface Specification which documents messages between the devices and Back Office. Creates and provides GUI renderings for maintenance diagnostic and revenue screens to 3rd Party UI/UX subcontractors. Flow diagram is created using the screens to depict logical sequences for inclusion in the design specification documents. Reviews and provides guidance to the test team to ensure test cases are relevant and accurate.
