      As part of the new initiative in Silicon Photonic at the Infotec Center based in Pisa I was enroled as a Senior Silicon Photonics Designer in order to support the new activity. The role consists in the design of passive and active integrated Silicon Photonics devices based on existing and new technologies for applications in telecoms. Based on a close partnership with industries like Ericsson the Center has a much of R&D for companies as well as finding innovative solutions for the future generations of telecommunication. Thanks to the expertise in optical systems of the institute my main task is to translate the needs of opticla networks into integrated designs. Show less
