  I had the privilege of being selected as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) club from a batch of over 350 students. I further contributed as a coordinator in the ASCE-VIT student chapter from February 2014 to May 2015. This chapter holds the distinction of being officially recognized by ASCE, a prestigious global student association dedicated to the field of civil engineering.My responsibilities within ASCE included serving as a coordinator for the Hall Management at the International Civil Engineering Symposium (ICES) in 2015, an event organized by the ASCE-VIT Chapter. ICES witnessed substantial participation, with over 300 external candidates and an additional 400 institute candidates, spanning all four years of study. This experience provided valuable insights into event management and the complexities of organizing large-scale academic gatherings.Furthermore, I played a pivotal role as an event coordinator during the annual techno-management knowledge carnival, Gravitas-14, held at VIT. The event, known as "City Tycoon," attracted more than 100 team members from various universities. Additionally, I contributed as a volunteer in the creative fun game event, "Weirdo 3.0 Reloaded," which was part of the Rivera 2014 festival. This dynamic event featured participation from over 300 students representing diverse universities.Being an active part of ASCE and the ASCE-VIT student chapter allowed me to immerse myself in the vibrant world of civil engineering education and professional development. I gained valuable insights into the field, broadened my horizons, and actively contributed to the academic and professional community at VIT University. My involvement with ASCE deepened my understanding of civil engineering and its multifaceted aspects, fostering my personal and professional growth. Show less

  During my industrial training in December 2014 at Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), I had the privilege to gain practical insights into industrial operations and management. Bhilai Steel Plant stands as an exemplar of excellence in steel manufacturing, consistently recognized with the Prime Minister's Trophy for Best Integrated Steel Plant in India, an unprecedented eleven times.BSP takes pride in being the largest producer and supplier of world-class rails for the Indian Railways, including the creation of the world's longest rails, measuring an astounding 130 meters in a single piece, and 260-meter long rail welded panels. This reflects the plant's unwavering commitment to innovation and quality.The plant plays a pivotal role in manufacturing a wide array of steel products, encompassing wide and heavy steel plates, structural steel, wire rods, and merchant products. Notably, BSP is known for producing earthquake-resistant grade TMT products (Bars & Rods) of superior quality, setting the bar high for industry standards.At the core of BSP's operations lie environmental stewardship and sustainability. This commitment to quality extends to the workforce, with the Human Resources Department proudly upholding the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard certification.As a testament to its comprehensive quality management approach, BSP has achieved an Integrated Management System (IMS) certification. This remarkable achievement makes BSP the first unit within the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and one of the few corporate houses in India to receive this accolade from a single certifying agency, M/s DNV. BSP's IMS seamlessly integrates Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS), and Social Accountability Management System (SAMS), setting a new benchmark for corporate excellence.   My industrial training in June 2015 exposed me to the intricacies of construction through my involvement in the PWD Jaipur Medical Education Building project. This hands-on experience was invaluable in gaining insights into construction and project management.The Public Works Department (PWD) holds a significant historical legacy dating back to the pre-independence era. Its primary responsibilities encompass the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and government buildings. Additionally, the PWD serves as a pivotal technical advisor to the State Government in these areas. Over time, it has evolved, initially managing irrigation and public health engineering units, which later became separate entities to better address their expanding scopes of work.Throughout its extensive history, the department has consistently pursued excellence, achieving notable milestones in the field of engineering. As the state's oldest engineering department, it boasts a well-connected network that enables it to undertake a wide range of tasks across the entire state. The department is responsible for maintaining an extensive road network extending over 201,064 kilometers and managing state buildings both within Rajasthan and beyond.Furthermore, the department manages government rest houses and circuit houses, allowing for the construction of approaches on both sides of roads for private individuals, institutions, factories, petrol pumps, and other entities. As the department embraces information technology, it continues to modernize and adapt to new challenges in its ongoing mission to contribute to the state's growth and development. Show less

  During my industrial training, I had the privilege of being trained at the District Control Room by North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL), Chapra. This training experience significantly enhanced my expertise in the field of facility management. It took place in December 2016 and provided me with valuable insights into the operational aspects of the energy distribution sector.NBPDCL, a government-controlled public sector undertaking established on November 1, 2012, under the provisions of the Electricity Act of 2003, plays a pivotal role in managing and distributing electrical power in the northern regions of Bihar, India. As the successor to the Bihar State Electricity Board, NBPDCL is responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable supply of electricity to consumers in its operational domain.The company boasts a well-developed infrastructure tailored to meet the energy demands of the region. This infrastructure includes essential components such as power system stabilizers, power transformers, feeders, and distribution transformers, all of which are critical for maintaining a steady and uninterrupted power supply.NBPDCL's operational domain encompasses a substantial area comprising 21 districts in northern Bihar, which are further divided into 29 divisions. Each division, from Araria to Raxaul, plays a crucial role in supplying power to its respective consumers, ensuring that electricity reaches every corner of the region. My training at the District Control Room of NBPDCL allowed me to gain firsthand experience in the intricacies of managing such a vital aspect of the region's infrastructure. Show less

  During my internship as a Construction Management Trainee at the MGBS bus station in Hyderabad, I had the opportunity to complete a comprehensive project. This project involved the submission of a detailed traffic forecast report to L&T Metro and the respective major project faculties. The primary focus of the report was to assess how the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HRM) would impact the city's current traffic, future traffic patterns, and overall sustainability. I am proud to note that the originality and innovative approach of my work received recognition from both L&T Metro and my college professors.The Hyderabad Metro Rail has emerged as a transformative urban transportation solution that addresses the complex challenges faced by large cities. It stands out as an eco-friendly and efficient mode of mass transit. The rapid adoption of metro rail systems worldwide underscores their importance in ensuring cleaner and greener urban transportation, especially in densely populated regions like India.Hyderabad, often referred to as the City of Nizams, is one of the latest Indian cities to embrace the metro rail system. While the city drives significant economic growth and contributes substantially to the country's GDP, it faces challenges stemming from inadequate infrastructure. The introduction of metro rail infrastructure is a crucial step toward enhancing the city's sustainability, although it also presents its own set of challenges.My internship experience allowed me to delve into the traffic-related issues experienced by the city's residents during the metro's construction phase and explore its long-term impact on the city's development. As Hyderabad's landscape evolves into a modern marvel with the introduction of the metro rail, I had the opportunity to gain insights into the city's sustainability and its future prospects.   During my tenure at L&W Constructions (Building Solutions) from June to December 2017, I played integral roles in two significant projects in Hyderabad and Mumbai.At the GAR, HYDERABAD PROJECT (August to October 2017), I served as a Site Engineer (Interiors) for Capgemini's office space in GAR, Hyderabad. My responsibilities included overseeing the construction of this extensive site, spanning over 10,000 sq ft and divided into four zones. I actively participated in reviewing interior designs and managing the execution process, collaborating closely with the Project Manager and the company's head office. My duties involved providing regular project updates, conducting risk assessments, and addressing challenges through Detailed Project Reports (DPR). I excelled in optimizing resources, resulting in substantial cost savings exceeding Rs 1 lakh. Furthermore, I supervised civil interior work, ensuring that partition walls met design specifications and the final finishing was completed with high-quality paint. I also gained valuable insights into mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and contributed to enhancing vendor relations, ultimately ensuring high client satisfaction.In the IGATE, MUMBAI project (June to July and November to December 2017), I held the role of Site Engineer (Interiors) for Capgemini's office space in IGATE, Mumbai. The project involved a vast 50-acre area within the Knowledge Park and included multi-story building construction. My responsibilities mirrored those in the GAR, HYDERABAD PROJECT and resulted in significant savings of over Rs 5 lakhs, underscoring my expertise in resource optimization and waste reduction.
