Processed rock samples on a DMA-80 Direct Mercury Analyzer for mercury content. Courses: Earth's Changing Climate, Chemistry of Earth Systems, Earth History I assisted in an ongoing research project looking at different variables affecting chemical weathering rates of volcanic rocks in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe. Specifically, I constructed a thesis in which I used multiple geochemical techniques to asses a singular soil profile and the presence of fully weathered clasts. This project entailed travelling to the island of Basse-Terre and completing field work for two weeks and then completing over 200 hours of laboratory work back at Dickinson College.
