      I started out as a NCO and personnel clerk. In 1994 I however did Officer's formative and was appointed as an officer. From 1995 to 1997 I did a B Mil degree through the Military Academy at Saldanha. I was utilized as a personnel officer from 1998 to 2005.

      As Admin Manager my main responsibilities are the overall management of efficient administration of jobs, from quoting (including data integrity, quotation accuracy and turnaround times) to completion (including confirmation/cancellation communication, invoicing, scheduling, travel, cost of sales, commission, provision of job cards and overall job cost summaries). It is my responsibility to efficiently manage the coordination and administration of confirmed jobs, as well as the efficient management of the correct allocation of all financial information, such as hire/purchase orders and invoicing in HireTrack, enabling accurate cost-of-sales reports per job. Within the first 3 months in this position I was able to complete a working procedure for the admin department, specifically pertaining to the use of HireTrack (a software program for quoting and equipment management). As HR Representative I am involved in the following HR functions: induction, leave, employment contracts, recruitment, as well as exit interviews and documentation. Show less Gearhouse is South Africa’s biggest technical supplier to the events industry from concerts, festivals, conferences, road shows to film and production houses. As the Sales Team leader my responsibilities are to assist the Sales Manager in managing the sales team, searching for leads and opportunities, researching sales literature, training of sales team, handling incoming calls for the sales department, completing quotes as requested by clients, keeping the client database up to date, target tracking of sales team performance, drawing of reports and presenting to upper management, manual updating and tracking of business intelligence, client service management, and overseeing of sales team member commission. For the last 8 months there hasn’t been a sales manager at Gearhouse. The result is that I have had to be even more involved in the management of the sales team, and also run the weekly sales meeting.
