Habib's significant contributions to the Royal Commission of Inquiry, coupled with his unwavering support during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, underscore the depth of his commitment to aiding his community. His extraordinary initiative, "Strengthens Ties via Sport," conceived in response to March 15th, promoted a sense of unity through cricket matches between the police and the Muslim community. He also co-founded an inclusive sports program in Ōtautahi Christchurch, encouraging ethnic women and girls to embrace physical activity, sports, and recreation. In recognition of his unifying efforts and remarkable response to the aftermath of the tragic events of March 15th, he was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Service Medal (QSM) in 2021. Minister Excellence Award for 2015 New Zealand Minister of Corrections Dec 2015 On joining the Case Management team, I realized that our Standards of Practice (SOP) compliance was low and we had a backlog (unallocated cases) of more than 300 cases. Another area of concern for the team was, they had a difficulty of having track record of their Case Prisoner's next schedule contact meetings and reviews of their planning's, as there was no proper system/practice in place. On working through the available resources of the Case management, I was able to initiate a… Show more On joining the Case Management team, I realized that our Standards of Practice (SOP) compliance was low and we had a backlog (unallocated cases) of more than 300 cases. Another area of concern for the team was, they had a difficulty of having track record of their Case Prisoner's next schedule contact meetings and reviews of their planning's, as there was no proper system/practice in place. On working through the available resources of the Case management, I was able to initiate a practice, which addressed all these issues and within few months, the backlog cases were dealt with. I altered the work management tool (WMT), it is an Excel based document, and made it more user friendly for the Case Manager by adding some extra features to it. Those extra features are mapping and measuring not only the prisoner rehabilitative pathway, quality frame work but also the Case manager work flow. All the team members received it with huge thanks. This new tool was one of the reasons that we achieved the highest score in our Standards of Practice after.Recently the Case Management workflow model is introduced. On working with one of the PCM, couples of more features are added to align it with the workflow model. It will be a huge assistance to the PCM to utilize it for allocations as per workflow model requirement. Show less

Appreciation letter Minister of Corrections & Police New Zealand 2010 I received an appreciation letter for my commitment and the excellent work following the Canterbury earthquake. After the earthquake, It was very trying time, especially when the friends and community we known started migrating to another area, the aftershocks and Psychological impact of these events on the family took its toll on every one. In these conditions coming and working with the emotionally distressed prisoners was another huge task that we have been through.
