      Under the guidance of Dr. Arunima Sengupta, Jadavpur University, Dept.of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, I got the opportunity to carry out a two months project on the topic: Hyperglycemia induces EMT mediated fibrosis in cardiac H9c2 cells. Here, I have worked on several molecular and cellular biology techniques, immuno techniques and animal cell culture, and have learnt how high glucose conditions in blood results in cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis which causes diseases of the heart.
