      Sept 2009 - Jul 2011
      Research project manager

I managed grants and research protocols for a principal investigator at the University of Michigan Autism and Communication Disorders Center. Research project topics included: treatment for autism, both child-focused and parent training, several fMRI studies, in-school intervention, and a large genetic study. Several of these grants were multi-site collaborations, and we were the lead site for one. I was involved in all aspects of these projects, including IRB submissions, recruitment, consent, intervention, project monitoring, and data analysis and publication. Additionally, I was involved in diagnostic assessment for children and adolescents with autism, including ADOS (I was reliable on all four Modules), IQ testing, Vineland, and numerous psychological measures related to diagnosis, functioning, and co-morbid conditions. Jul 2011 - Jan 2024

I supervise several grants and contracts related to autism research (particularly genetic research with a clinical psychology component) and online research registries. Several of these are multi-site efforts involving sites in both the US and Canada. One of our current initiatives allows investigators to apply for access to recruit participants from our online research registries into new research, and I supervise the team facilitating all of those projects (over 150 in the past 3 years). Finally, I manage research compliance efforts for the foundation, working alongside our Compliance Officer. Show less

Project Director managing research compliance (e.g. regulatory, IRB, and ethical oversight) and the Research Match program for the SPARK and Searchlight research cohorts. SPARK is a research program for people with autism and their family members, while Searchlight's focus is rare genetic neurodevelopmental conditions. Both research studies have the goals of accelerating research and improving lives. Research Match is an effort within both programs that connects cohort research participants and qualified researchers with the goal of expediting research and allowing participants the chance to be represented in research. The Research Match service builds workflows, including online surveys, to contact participants about studies for which they are eligible and facilitate recruitment and data collection. We also incorporate data sharing elements to enhance databases and make research more efficient. Show less
