In a lesser extent, the company performed IT consulting for other sectors.

  In charge of building products to support the automation of multi-disciplinary workflows that power digital oilfields. These products allow upstream oil & gas asset teams to build and maintain digital twins that allow for optimized planning and operation of their assets. My greatest accomplishment in this job was redesigning and refactoring the Digital Field Solver™ SaaS offering and releasing it to the market. Digital Field Solver™ is now powering several digital oilfields delivered by Halliburton to clients. In this position I am also responsible for identifying and pursing technical collaboration with potential Halliburton partners. Show less The main responsibility was to deliver digital oilfields to clients. My role in the projects was to either lead them technically or significantly contribute by fully specifying the design of workflows and also implementing them in PIDO/CAE (Process Automation & Design Optimization / Computer Aided Engineering) tools. The majority of the workflows involved nodal analysis tools (Netool, Prosper, Nexus surface network, and Gap) and reservoir simulation tools (mostly Nexus). The main clients I worked for during this period were: KOC, ADNOC, and QG. Show less The focus was on developing reservoir management and field development planning studies for several assets in Petrobras (Roncador, Marlim, Barracuda-Caratinga) and collaborating with the technical support of the Rio Operational Unit. The enabling technologies were Nexus (reservoir simulation) and Decision Management System (uncertainty and optimization). In this role, I also had the opportunity to collaborate on the construction of a neural network-based reservoir proxy model to be included in a digital oilfield component delivered to Petrobras' Barracuda-Caratinga asset.   Volunteer work for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in the Brazil Section, based in Rio de Janeiro. The main responsibility was to plan and organize technical events to further the knowledge and provide value to Brazilian SPE members. Volunteer work for the Brazil Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) serving as Continued Education officer. Responsibilities included promoting and supporting technical events and other Brazil Section activities. One of the main achievements was the delivery of a reference curriculum for the production engineering career in Brazil of which I was the editor.
