Semester at Sea (SAS) is a study abroad program founded in 1963, now managed by the Institute for Shipboard Education in Charlottesville, Virginia. The University of Virginia is the current academic sponsor for the program while the program itself is run on a cruise ship. Throughout the history of the program, nearly 55,000 undergraduate students from more than 1,500 colleges and universities have participated in Semester at Sea.

      Carbon Continuum (CC) pioneered a ground-breaking,patented technology that transforms waste carbon emissions from industries into nano-material called Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs). We designed a synthesizer which can be fixed to the waste gas outlets of a manufacturing facility and produces the CNTs from the waste emissions. The “carbon capture and usage” technology is a part of the process which captures 70% of the total emissions that are released from the exhaust. The gas is then converted into CNTs bringing a clean and carbon negative technology.
