For example, she uses a nutrition theme across different subject areas of the curriculum.Along with a colleague, Ms. Amster started a collaborative mentorship program between the grade five Morals class and her kindergarten class, exploring feelings and identifying results and solutions. This contributed to a school-wide peer mediation system to be implemented in coming years.Ms. Amster teaches respect and compassion by involving her class in raising funds to support a foster child.
