      I directed a comprehensive safety program for a unit comparable to a Part 121 Operation. Planned, organized, directed and controlled safety activities for the unit of over 200 employees and a Fleet of 27 Cargo/Tanker Aircraft. Developed Job Specific Safety Training Outlines; Evaluated, inspected, and surveyed areas of responsibility to eliminate mishap potentials. Conducted safety education for individuals assigned to unit and performed group briefings on changes and up to date safety related events. Interpreted policy for employees and managers alike.Performed inspections (spot and schedule), surveys and evaluations, reported findings and applied solutions on facilities, flight lines, maintenance, industrial and non-industrial areas and personnel comparable to oversight on Part 121 operator or Part 145 repair station. Manage and direct a highly technical workforce in District consisting of numerous System Support Centers (SSCs) of varying size, type, and complexity.Maintains contacts both internal and external to the District, including senior management union representatives, service center personnel, members of the state local and federal government, foreign government aviation officials general public, ATO Service Units, FAA lines of business representatives of the aviation industry and military to facilitate resolution of air traffic operational and technical program issues. The SSC National Airspace System (NAS) responsibility encompasses over 18.2 million square miles, 10% of global airspace. I had a mixed staff of Airway Transportation System Specialists (ATSS), System Specialists (SS) and Management Program Assistant (MPA) under my direction. I am also integral part of the District Occupational Safety and Health Communication (OSHECOMM) committee and Operational Risk Management (ORM) Committee.I was part of the District Metrics committee and Organizationally contributed as Project Strategic and Tactical Operational Risk Management (STORM) facilitator. I worked with the National Risk Management office on the Operational Risk Management Policy evolution. PASS’s input was vital in ensuring a complete and effective final product. As part of the ATO ORM Policy Team, my responsibilities included collaborating with team members and external groups in policy, procedures, tools and training development. I influenced increasing the emphasis on High Risk/ Low Frequency events. I installed, evaluated, troubleshot, maintained, modified, inspected and certified facilities, systems, services and equipment that support the National Airspace System (NAS). Systems that I was entrusted with included: Air to Ground and Ground to Ground Communications, Security, Fire Protection, Power and Environmental systems. The equipment included electronic interfaces and computer based virtual control systems and peripherals.Became part of a survey team that worked on building a new Communications tower for Reno-Tahoe Airport. This mitigated the many instances where pilots both under Part 135 and Part 121 operators would encounter a communication blind spot when on final approach.Collaborated in connecting San Francisco Airport (SFO) Tower communication infrastructure. Air-to-Ground Radios and Ground-to-Ground communication systems connectivity internal and external to the airport.-I developed and trained the SSC on a user manual for a new type of communication test equipment through collaboration with manufacturer. -Received awards for my contributions to several NextGen technology installation and upgrade efforts.-Selected for a detail as a NAS Area Specialist with the NCT Service Operation Control center.
