  Trainee Mud Logger

  I started my career in the Oil industry in OFI India as a Trainee Mud Logger, where I have worked on onshore units at projects of ONGC.I was in a constant learning phase of all the aspects of the mudlogging unit there. One of my primary responsiblities was to collect representative samples of the drill cuttings at regular intervals and make slides for detailed observations. I also had to make sure that all the drilled cutting samples are packed, sealed and handed over to the client in the stipulated time. I have also monitored drilling parameters and carried out routine maintenance of the sensors. Show less

  As a Mud Logger, my prime responsiblity is to monitor, understand and interpret the drilling parameters in real-time and report any anomalies to the concerned authorities. I also analyse, interprete and describe the lithology of sample cuttings which have been collected at regular intervals for co-relation purposes.Working in Bombay High field of ONGC has given me vast exposure to various lithologies encountered in a depositional basin and its interpretation.My job also deals with the rig up and installation of various sensors on the rigsite in order to identify various drilling parameters and its implication on the hole stabilityMaintainance of Tripsheet, Fingerprint, is one of the critical jobs during operations along with the detection of kicks and losses. Analysing the formation by conducting Shale Factor, Shale Density, Calcimetry, XRF, XRD of the cutting samples. Regular Maintenance and Calibration of R/F sensors, Pit sensors and Gas Detection System. Mostly used to work in High Pressure high Temperature deep exploratory wells. Show less
