  Responsibilities The drafter is responsible for the creation of detail and other drawing requirements, the correct use and understanding of part numbering system. Sometimes will comply with all product engineering drafting standards and procedures within the department. The drafter will be required to support any other personnel within Engineering as and when required. •Ensure that all drawing related documentation is as per Product Engineering procedures prior to releasing to Documentation Control. •Check engineering detail designs for manufacture. •Attend engineering design reviews to establish best solution. •Ensure that all drawing office documentation is correctly stored. •Have awareness of clients products. •Maintain regular contact with Designers/Engineers and their designee for all aspects of project co-ordination. •Cost reduction, savings within department & productts (without any detrimental effect to design or functionality of products).
