  Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

  Reporting to the owner of the practice, I was a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting thousands of clients over an almost two-year span. I was responsible for designing and implementing therapy lessons based on a set learning goals for patients aged 2-20 and created client schedules for a caseload of 30 patients by partnering with parents to maximize overall sessions. I joined the company after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Deaf Education. After working in the classroom, while I was teaching, I went back to school to pursue this degree to help kids in a different way compared to the classroom. The company I joined was a newer company that was fast-growing and needed someone with a go-getter mindset to help clients achieve results. Successes in this role included leading a 60% patient discharge rate from client caseloads from my support, and increasing the number of client sessions per day, week, and month to ensure patients met 100% of therapy goals through project management and strong communications. After having a child, I decided to take time away from this role resulting in a transition back to the classroom after an opportunity came up to take on more leadership skills in the school I was offered to work for. As a tutor manager, I oversaw the end to end operations of a 100+ member team of part time tutors, driving onboarding, training and management processes. I also designed and delivered successful company-wide training and professional development workshops to more than 2,000 tutors.

  Ascentra Credit Union is a $35.4M annual revenue credit union serving the Quad Cities region of Iowa and Illinois. As the Learning and Development Manager, I lead a 4-person training and development team, having established the department from the ground up. I manage a range of initiatives, including acting as a project manager for various credit union projects and as the program manager for the inaugural member survey. My role involves close collaboration with C-level executives and department heads, conducting data analysis, and identifying learning needs to support the growth and development of employees at all levels within the organization.
