  Mitacs Accelerate Research Assistant

  I conduct research with Dr. Carolyn Eyles, Dr. Alexander Peace, and Dr. Elli Papangelakis in the School of Earth, Environment, and Society at McMaster University to study geology, thermal weathering processes, and geologic hazards associated with the Niagara Escarpment. We are currently using R Studio and XRF technology to analyse cores from Admiralty Bay, Antarctica to reconstruct the paleoenvironment of the region. Additionally, we collaborate with the APGO Education Foundation to create interactive virtual field trips, termed "GeoHikes", to promote a greater understanding of geoscience, raise awareness of the significant role geology has in shaping our cities, and educate the public concerning geological hazards.   President of Milk Bags for Change McMaster

  A group dedicated to reducing milk bag waste throughout the city of Hamilton. Milk bags are collected, cut and weaved into mats that can be sent to developing countries all over the world, or to homeless shelters in Ontario.

  Undergraduate Researcher (Kidd Lab)

  Worked on a bioaccumulation project supervised by Dr. Karen Kidd and Quinn Allamby. This project aimed to quantify the bioaccumulation of polystyrene microplastic particles (MPs) through Planorbella pilsbryi, a freshwater snail species, using environmentally relevant concentrations to understand how MPs accumulate in freshwater benthic macroinvertebrates. This project involved wet lab experiments, RStudio analyses, and an academic conference presentation.
