  Managed a $4.7 MM project for one of the nation’s leading distributors of fine wines, sprits, beers, bottled water and other nonalcoholic products to migrate business applications from a Unisys LINC system to an IBM AS/400 VisualAge Pacbase DB2 environment. This project included managing international application development as well as multiple developers across the nation. I was responsible for the coordination of the hardware implementation and training, migration of interface software, conversion of application code, VisualAge Pacbase installation and training, test environment setup, data conversion and testing. Lead the analysis phase for a Canadian mainframe data center application migration to a US data center for one of the world’s leading information manufacturing company. Also managed a team to assess the effectiveness of their IT organization by conducting problem management process workshops and compared current approach to best of breed. This analysis lead to the creation of a Global Program Management Office to improve the quality of the deliverables and customer satisfaction in the IT group. Redesigned the IT equipment procurement process for one of the world’s leading soft drink companies which reduced the procurement cycle from months to weeks. Managed the plan to procure and install $17 MM worth of IT equipment which included EMC, AS/400, RS6000 and Netfinity servers. Assisted in building project plans for the various IT initiatives. I worked with one of the nations’ largest financial institutions to lead a team of technical resources skilled in MQ Series, Oracle8.04/6 & 7.3.3 client, AIX performance, Network & Network Traffic analysis, server capacity planning, SNA and firewall skills to support a Web page application upgrade and roll out. I also produced a risk assessment of the approach used to identify the potential areas of high risk and mediation plans. Show less
