  Intern

  The internship included work on eco-tourism boat tours with dolphin watching and snorkeling. I presented information on bottlenose dolphins and local marine fauna to tourists on board and assisted in research onboard such as dolphin spotting, boat traffic data, and hydrophone usage. Also assisted in dolphin acoustic research by analyzing the whistles of bottlenose dolphins in the Mediterranean as part of a cooperative research project.

  The Changing Oceans Group is a research group at the University Of Edinburgh researching a range of marine ecology, biology, and conservation topics. We are leading an undergraduate sub-group where we will assist in ongoing research and plan to conduct studies on coral growth.

  Responsible for collaborating with other societies and organizations to organize events and raise awareness for marine conservation. In the first semester coordinated a presentation on marine research and eco-tourism ethics and assisted in organizing a bird watching tour in association with the Scottish Seabird Center

  Research Study Assistant

  Assisted a Ph.D. student with her research on the biodiversity supported by seagrass at subtidal and intertidal sites in Scotland. Included bird identification, using baited remote underwater video, analyzing sediment cores and identifying epifauna, and estimating seagrass cover.

  Dive Master and Shop Staff

  Started as a Divemaster intern which involved assisting instructors on PADI courses, guiding scuba diving tours, and working in the dive center as retail staff. I was also responsible for social media posts and reviewing diving conditions as well as assisting guests with their diving equipment.
