      Jul 2016 - now

As a Sports Information Officer, I play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our athletic teams and the public through various media platforms. I am responsible for documenting and publicizing the accomplishments of our athletes and teams, ensuring that their achievements are recognized within the leagues they represent or participate in. My duties include managing media relations, coordinating press releases, and maintaining up-to-date statistics and records. Additionally, I oversee the creation and dissemination of content across social media, websites, and other digital platforms to enhance our programs’ visibility and engagement. My work involves close collaboration with coaches, athletes, our owner, and external media to promote a positive image of our sports teams and programs. Show less I would run posts to social media platforms, write articles, take media, and manage the website for RELM’s tournaments they hosted and for their spring hockey teams they took to tournaments in Tampa Bay and Boston. While in Tampa, I managed the social media content for 8 teams across the 2007-2015 age groups including taking pictures to post on my articles I would write in daily recaps and on social media posts to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I would also design graphics such as lineup graphics for the Chowder Cup summer team that went to Boston and post those on the same channels. My days would also consist of content meetings with the founder of RELM to see what ideas he had or wanted to be posted as well as sharing my own ideas and given creative freedom on how to create the content. Show less I have worked alongside RELM Sports for 7 years helping with Summer Camps and day Camps, as well as development camps and running their goalie skills section of the on-ice sessions. During the Summer and Day camps, I would be in charge of groups of kids getting them from the lunch room to the sports field for games and dry-land skills. Being in charge of the goalie skills for on-ice sessions I would have to develop two ice sessions of drills to improve the goalies and help them make the needed adjustments. I also would go with RELM to teams arenas and work with their representative teams on skills in various age groups. Show less
