  Career break

  After 3 years of managing my own sales and leasing brokerage business, I made the decision not to be haunted by unrealised dreams. I sold up my stake in the commercial real estate office that I strived for 3 years to make profitable in order to pursue a lifelong ambition to travel and explore South and Central America. This was the hardest decision of my life but I have no regrets.The wonders of spending 15 months in Latin America will always be with me - as will my enthusiastically bad grasp of the Spanish language.Driving to the end of the world in Patagonia, sailing the Amazon River, volunteering on Ecuadorian sustainable farms, getting out of Venezuela with my life(!) and generally travelling for an extended period allowed me to develop upon a range of existing employment skills which I will apply in my future career.
