      As a member of the management team for DU Canada's National Boreal Forest Program, Chris is responsible for coordinate ongoing conservation programs including overseeing the development of Sustainable Land Use Best Management Practices that focus on wetland and waterfowl conservation. Functions as the key adviser on forestry issues and leads the company on forest industry relations and partnerships. Additional activities include overseeing Manitoba boreal government relations and protected areas initiatives. Show less Responsible for government relations primarily in Manitoba and Saskatchewan with a focus on advancing forest policy relative to increased protection of wetlands and waterfowl habitat. A primary focus was on advancing the network of protected areas that were rich in wetlands through existing land use programs or specific protected areas initiatives. Functioned on the Boreal Management Team providing guidance on forestry and worked as a member of a team to grow the portfolio of forest industry partners that included securing financial resources to undertake wetland and waterfowl inventories of their forest tenure and work on other projects that provide tools to enhance the conservation of wetlands and waterfowl habitat.
