  As the Director of Production, I oversee the production and post-production of PBS SoCal's program, promotional and interstitial content. I collaborate with PBS SoCaL’s management staff, external partners, project managers, and the station’s marketing and interactive teams to drive the strategic vision for PBS SoCal's content production across multiple platforms. I'm also responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and implementing locally-originated content production to help further and support PBS SoCal’s content distribution services and institutional imaging.   Ty Woodson is an award winning television producer, director of photography, writer, and editor who has produced hundreds of hours of content for PBS. Most recently he produced the television shows “Sustaining California” which was broadcast nationwide and “LAaRT” which was broadcast regionally. The Broadcast content he’s produced to date includes: five hour-long specials (three of which were distributed to all California PBS stations); a 60-minute documentary on a Southern California visionary; Henry Segerstrom, countless image spots, fillers, promos, PSAs, billboards, and other important interstitial material. Online content he’s created, directed, and produced includes: numerous webisodes; PBS SoCaL Extras; and PBS SoCaL Community Champions. As the Director of Production, he oversaw the production and post-production of PBS SoCal's program, promotional, and interstitial content. He collaborated with PBS SoCaL’s management staff, external partners, project managers, and the station’s marketing and interactive teams to drive the strategic vision for PBS SoCal's content production across multiple platforms. He was also responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and implementing locally-originated content production to help further and support PBS SoCal’s content distribution services and institutional imaging.In addition to his work at PBS, he is a documentarian who travels abroad documenting US doctors changing the lives of children in third world countries. Also, he is working on a documentary concerning the homeless situation in Orange County. Ty has been working in the television and film industry for the last twenty years where he has led his own freelance production company, through which he produced countless television commercials and infomercials as well as worked for several advertising agencies.
