  In this position, I will be cultivating a community of camaraderie and brotherhood in both my own section of 28 men and the entire Keenan Hall community. My official duties are to supervise the activities of the hall and to serve as a liaison between the Rector and my residents. My unofficial duties consist of coaching football, cooking food, planning events, and more! In this position, I lead the planning and execution of the highly selective resident shadowing program Notre Dame Medical Observers. Along with reviewing applications, organizing the resident matches, and ensuring the overall smoothness of the program, I also bring with me an excitement to pursue improvements from both my own insight and the insight of the other members of my cohort. Our current focus is centered on PGAM5, a mitochondrial phosphotase involved in mitophagy and mitochondrial fission, and it’s observable oncogenic role in a wide range of cancer cell lines. Experiments commonly ran include 96-well and 6-well proliferation assays, both in attachment and detachment, lysate collections, cell fractionations, and western blots.   In my second year as a Head Writer, I was on a team of four who spent over 70 hours in one month to develop, enhance, and decide on 16 skits from over 70 to place into the show. With over 1500 attendees each night, I was also able to act in 6 skits!
