  Over my six-year tenure as a member of a 15-person Research Analyst Team, I conducted in-depth, bottom-up fundamental research on global companies within the Consumer Staples and Consumer Discretionary sectors while also covering several industries of the Industrials and IT sectors. My research efforts were concentrated on analyzing industry structures, assessing competitive advantages, estimating reinvestment opportunities, and interviewing company executives. By synthesizing financial data and constructing detailed financial models, I was able to ascertain a probabilistic array of a company’s intrinsic value. Furthermore, I quantified downside risk by conducting detailed balance sheet analysis as well as by running worst-case scenario stress testing. 90% of my recommendations were implemented and I consistently outperformed my benchmark by 600+ basis points for nearly six years. Notable progressions included my advancement to Global Sector Analyst – Consumer Staples for the value strategy with $5+ billion AUM, within 6 months of hire, and subsequently undertaking responsibility for Global Consumer Discretionary that totaled 25% of all portfolio exposure.
