  -Earned academic credit for work done in Dr. Richard Helm's lab on his project titled "Natural Products from Woody Plants"-Isolated secondary metabolites from 4 eastern hardwood tree species-Analyzed tree species extracts using LC-MS-Facilitated the establishment of a metabolite database for the class of plants- Oversaw a virtual class collaboration to identify two secondary metabolites of the Black Walnut sample analyzed from my mass spectrometry data -Hosted office hours twice a week for students enrolled in General Biochemistry (BCHM 4115).-Graded weekly quizzes.-Contributed to grading of four exams throughout the semester.-Created one multi-part, open-ended question for the third exam of the semester.

  -Procured basic hygiene and medical supply donations for 73 families in Menelas and Molea, Haiti.-Created health education workshops and interventions to educate community members on healthcare topics including patient advocacy, health literacy, common illnesses, reproductive health, and mental health.-Wrote a Comprehensive Sex Education curriculum for youth in these communities that included workshops on puberty and reproductive health, contraception, STIs, and sexual and gender identity -Developed a health behavior model for tracking individuals' progress through the organization's health programming.-Established a collection of resources on delivery, postpartum depression, breastfeeding, and first year of life for expecting and new mothers.dowork.org | @doworkorg Show less
