As an aide, I instructed proper rehabilitative exercises to 20+ patients each day, was trained in proper application of Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) and Iontophoresis on patients, applied physical agents (heat and ice) and ultrasound as needed, and set up exercise equipment as instructed by the Physical Therapist.

  My rotation at Kaweah Delta Rehabilitation Hospital was a 12-week full time, clinical education experience in a hospital-based setting. I provided skilled physical therapy and individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, manage pain, and prevent further disability. I worked with an interdisciplinary team of MDs, OTs, SLPs, and RNs to treat a wide range of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary disorders. I also worked with patients in the SNF/LTC halls of the hospital daily.   Following my clinical rotation at RISE from March to May 2020, I was hired on where I worked as the sole Physical Therapist at this location for 3 months. RISE later hired another Physical Therapist to work with me. The treatment model was 1-1 patient to therapist care with no physical therapy aide. Patient population included but was no limited to post-operative, professional athletes, neurological, geriatrics, and pediatrics ranging from low-highly complex patients.
