      Pathway Tutor

I helped existing school staff become qualified teachers through facilitating the provision of bespoke QTS preparation programmes. I formulated personalised plans and set targets based on an initial needs assessment – in consultation with a school mentor. I assessed the quality of lesson delivery and provided both face-to-face and online feedback on progress towards QTS standards. I successfully ensured that candidates for QTS are able to actively plan and deliver effective teaching to their chosen subject or age range/phase and could demonstrate full responsibility for the classroom. This involved assessing candidates’ teaching by reviewing their portfolio of evidence and observing their teaching. Candidates I assessed now hold QTS as a result of the NCTL accepting my recommendations following quality assurance of my work. Show less

      Co Author

I co wrote both the print and digital learner’s skills books for the Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives Series, and the Teacher's Guides for stages 1,2,4,5 and 6. These materials help primary students develop transferable skills that they can use across a range of subjects, including Maths, English and Science. Learners are encouraged to reflect on topics at a personal, national and global level, while developing skills for their future in a measurable way. This resource was developed with insight from Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives teachers around the world to ensure the content meets your classroom needs. The Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives Teacher's Resources with Digital Access were created to guide teachers through the Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives curriculum framework, our print and digital teachers resources are the perfect addition to a classroom. I created teaching notes, step-by-step activities, cross-curricula links, and ideas for adapting the lesson - there's also an enrichment ‘Take it further’ feature. Show less
