  Since February 2021, a member of the Planning and ProjectsDepartment of PPA SA, with responsibilities of monitoring and supervising various port infrastructure maintenance projects, including two major Mandatory Enhancement Projects, the Cruise Terminal and the Car Terminal Expansions, as analyzed below.October 2024 - ongoing: Cruise Terminal Expansion (South Zone, Phaze A))Project description: The project concerns the major mandatory investment of PPA SA, according to thedevelopment program of PPA, as defined in the Concession Agreement of 2016 with the Greek State.The budget of the project is 103 mil. Euros. It is a landmark marine project and it involves the construction of a new pier, to be used as a Cruise Terminal. The new quay - walls will be built on 63 reinforced concrete cellular boxes (caissons) and 153 concrete piles. Also, bottom excavation works (dredging), and large filling works (embankments), are foreseen. construction of new pavements and superstructure, as well as installation of Electromechanical, firefighting, drainage and water networks.Responsibilities: - Monitoring project progress.- Checking compliance with schedule, contractual obligations, quality and cost, in collaboration with PPA consultants.- Participation in meetings with the Contractor, PPA's Technical Consultants and the Independent Engineer of the Project.- Verification and review of certifications (accounts) of the contractor- General involvement with the administrative issues of the projectAugust 2021 - January 2024: Car Terminal Expansion (Herakleous pier)The project concerns the expansion of the existing pier, to become a Car Terminal and it is included in the development program of PPA.With a budget of 20 mil. Euros, it includes the construction and installation of 30 caissons for the expansion of the pier, dredging works, earth filling works, construction of new pavements, as well as installation of new networks: Electromechanical and firefighting.
