  This position allowed me to complete various civil engineering projects in addition to the excavation of underground water distribution system. I have assisted in the construction of overhead water tank with a capacity of 7000kl and clear water reservoir with a capacity of 450kl as well as the upgrade of water treatment plant to 12M liter per day according to budget, schedule and overall project requirements.With my academic experience and industry background, this allowed me to work closely with suppliers in the procurement of large quantities of metallic pipes, cement pipes, plastic pipes and other materials for the project to maintain budget allocation and reduce potential costs.This experience allowed me to exhibit my proficiency in analysing and reviewing technical manuals, blueprints and diagrams to discuss construction requirements with vendors to ensure accuracy of projects.I was able to work collaboratively with the with design engineering teams to identify piping, structural, technical and material issues, recommend workable actions and support the efficient completion of construction projects.This role allowed me to deliver outcomes with an excellent understanding of end-to-end processes in Civil Engineering including strategic planning and project management with a familiarity of technical scope, policies, and guidelines allowing me to achieve extraordinary results that I have carried into other roles.   With my sufficient background and expertise, I have been able to coordinate risk assessments and operational control measures to maintain compliance with health and safety policies whilst ensure a safe work environment for city council representatives, trade professionals, general labourers and subcontractors at all times.Within this role, I have been able to prepare, monitor and update project plans while handling other tasks on periodic programs. I have been able to apply my academic knowledge including previous employment experience to assist in resolving design issues, understanding problems to ensure accurate measurements, locate faults and render new designs as needed.I have been able to provide holistic support on the projects to teams from different trades to meet targets and deadlines as well as ensure project outcomes. I was able to work directly with the immediate head, submitting reports on all construction activities and maintaining quality assurance measures to ensure project is in compliance with Australian Standards on a regular basis.This experience has allowed me to utilise my knowledge and expertise in engineering, construction, and design when conducting site inspections. I have assisted in determining possible risks and opportunities for rectification and ensure continuous improvement in quality at all times.This role has allowed me to grow exponentially – furthering my skills and abilities in a major organisation, where I have utilised my academic and professional experience while taking ownership and accountability to get the job done and accept responsibility for personal actions, costs, and results to provide continuous outcomes with regularity.
