      The Irish Mountain Running Association (IMRA) is the governing body for trail and mountain running in Ireland. Active member, runner and volunteer with the Association since 2008. I have served on the committee for 9 years in several different roles namely Results and Records Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster and President. IMRA is 100% a volunteer run organisation and outside of the additional administrative and committee roles I regularly help at races, organise races and race direct events. Over the past 15 years the membership has grown from approximately 1,100 members to 3,200 (June 2023) and the association organises over 120 trail & mountain races throughout the year ranging in distance from 3km (Uphill race) to 170 km.
