During my time with AmeriCorps out of the Denver campus, I completed projects at the Lower Rio Grande Wildlife Sanctuary in south Texas doing invasive species removal, and at Lake Ouachita State Park in Arkansas doing trail work and park maintenance, in New Yor City working with the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief, at the Action Center food bank/homeless shelter non-profit in Denver, and with FEMA in Oklahoma City after the devastating tornadoes.
