I brought the first California style taco truck to Maine when I bought began Marko Loco Tacos. We made mexican food and set up the truck in Rockland, Camden, and Hope over the course of a summer season. We also catered a few wedding rehearsals and birthdays, and we were invited to be a vendor at a few music and civic events. It was a total blast! Accruing more than 600 likes in less than 3 months was an accomplishment in itself, but bringing the best mexican food this area has seen since I closed my restaurant was met with great enthusiasm and gratefulness. My wife and I adopted a baby and, well, since I already have a year round job teaching, something had to go. I lament we were not able to keep it going. It was fun and much appreciated. I learned enough that first year, I know it would have been quite lucrative in the ensuing years. Oh well. There are only so many hours in a day/ week. Show less

The Maine Restaurant Association and numerous businesses sponsored our trip to Minneapolis to compete Nationally. We placed 24th out of 46 teams. Not bad for a first timer. Plus I know what we did wrong, so we are loaded for next year!
