      My role as a coach involved helping develop youngsters ages 5-8. I looked after up to 20 children. Organisation was a key requirement as each week I had to design sessions and invent different practices to help the students develop. I developed excellent communication skills; not only did I have to convey information to the children (who do not always pay attention) but I was often faced with questions from parents wondering about their child’s progression, how they were fitting in etc. Seeing their progression was very rewarding.
