  Chief Project Engineer (Mechanical)

  Working as a Chief Project Engineer (Mechanical) for Global projects at Wärtsilä India Pvt Ltd on behalf of Wärtsilä Finland Oy, March 2021 – PRESENTChief Project Engineer is responsible for the whole mechanical discipline or a defined part of the scope in project execution towards the Project Manager for the project, who is responsible for the whole project including all disciplines (electrical, mechanical and civil parts). Task is  To maintain the scope of work on own area such as requirement collection, engineering phase, procurements of mechanical materials and services, logistic and support of installation and commissioning activities at site. Participate in customer / stakeholder negotiations when needed and maintain good customer / stakeholder relationships. Manage works under own responsibility area according to contract requirements together with internal team members and external vendors. Plan the works with the total costs, schedule, quality and customer needs in focus.Key Responsibilities: Safeguard that mechanical works are executed according to contract specifications and design directives as a member of a project team Make purchase specifications and bill of quantities as required for the project execution Make project specific design and design packages  Co-ordinate the design between sub-suppliers  Develop Power Plant project wise mechanical solution for the client  Carry out sub-supplier quality- and delivery follow-ups  Support site team during installation and commission phases  Give feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints  Participate in development projectsProjects:I.
