      Working within the “Business, Process and Systems (BPS)” team of this global container shipping line I was based in the City of London office working alongside senior management. I was responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the business and a bridge between local business regions and the corporate IT department in the Far East.       After successfully setting up a Business Analysis function I accepted a permanent position reporting directly to the CFO. This management role encompassed two core responsibilities: ‘Project Portfolio Manager’ and ‘Corporate Office’. The position required management of a team split across Zurich and remotely in Prague as well as regular interaction with my peers being a member of the ‘Operational Committee’ (OpCo) management group which included attending strategic offsite meetings.Project Portfolio Manager (PPM):As ‘PPM’ I was responsible for managing the company portfolio of strategic projects (including business and functional requirement gathering and process review and definition) in a controlled and structured environment. I on-boarded, managed and coached a remote team of two Project Managers / Business Analysts in Prague with responsibility for numerous projects including implementing new business applications, commercial initiatives including launching new products and process improvements, enhancing current system functionality and coordinating regulatory topics such as the ‘EU Benchmark Regulations’ and ‘General Data Protection Regulation’ (GDPR). With good organisation of the team and its processes projects were soon being delivered within budget and on-time.Corporate Office:In parallel to PPM I was also responsible for a team of two establishing corporate governance within STOXX and managing core relationships with and service provisioning from the Deutsche Boerse Group.
