I starting my banking career here. I thought being a bank teller was just about handling transactions but it was about much more than that. It was about building relationships and and providing the best service to customers day in and day out. I got to know our regulars by name, made them feel valued and understood. As a result of this in about six months I was allowed to start handling assignments that would normaly be assigned to personal bankers.

Small Business Specialist/ Personal Banker/ Registered Representative

While working at Chase building solid relationships was key. I made sure clients felt valued and understood. That led to a bunch of them sticking around and being happy with the service they got from me. I surpassed sales targets not by bugging clients with products they didn't really want but by asking questions, actively listening and by really understanding what the client needed. Then I showed them how our products could make their lives easier. Plus, I kept an eye on the market to spot any new opportunities we could dive into. When complex problems came up I was right there, finding solutions and smoothing out any bumps in the road. Clients knew they could count on me to sort things out, even when it seemed complicated. As a result of this I was promoted twice in a 2 year span, I received rewards for exceeding sales targets and for providing exelent service. I was a Year-over-year top 10 producer. I was entrusted to temporarily manage the sales team at aChase branch for 3 months and I increased sales by 30%. Show less
