      During this period of transition for the health sector I facilitated computerisation and fund-holding of multiple general practice and medical centres in UK – up to 10 Doctors, 30 staff and GBP5m budget. I was responsible for:- Supervision of the transfer from manual, paper records and systems to integrated computerisation of all patient records, business systems and financial accounts.- Software and business system training for all administrative, clinical and consulting personnel.- Setting up practices as self-managing, fund-holding entities and introduced the corresponding systems, procedures, protocols and compliance.       TAAL was established by key influential business leaders to host the Australasian stopover of the UK-owned solo global yacht race 'Around Alone 2002-2003'KEY ACHIEVEMENTS- Creation from concept, through to actual delivery and subsequent debrief of the full stopover and its race/local community requirements.- Fund-raising from central and local government, community and business and worked with economic development agency Priority One to promote the region.- Authored the Economic Impact Report demonstrating the economic impact of the Around Alone yacht race to the Tauranga region – identifying $7m direct income to the region, as well as extensive media exposure for the region. Tourism Bay of Plenty said that it “would have taken (them) three years to get this number of (media) through”- The race owners described the stopover as “the best the race had seen”, for which they gave me the credit. - Preparation and presentation of host-bid proposals on Tauranga City’s behalf in NZ and UK for Global Challenge, Velux 5-Oceans, and Global Ocean Challenge yacht races 2003-2006 Show less

      Leadership of the NZ Lifetime Design movement.The Lifemark is an independent certification for home design and is wholly owned by the charity CCS Disability Action. Lifemark Ltd’s membership organisation, the Lifetime Design Foundation, is a not-for-profit, membership based organisation funded by subscriptions, licenses and grants from the Government. The Lifemark Design Standards are based on the five key universal design principles of Adaptability, Accessibility, Usability, Safety and Lifetime Value.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:- I was the first CEO of this organization following its separation from the parent company and, as such, was instrumental in establishing its identity in New Zealand and development of the strategic direction and industry awareness through close liaison with central and local government, residential construction developers, the retirement industry and social housing projects. Public awareness was created through strategic marketing, branding and PR including website, advertising collateral and extensive public speaking. - Co-author with Ministry of Social Development of ‘Economic Effect of Utilising Lifemark at a National Level’ (see Special Papers below) which resulted in additional $500k funding to Lifemark from the 2010 Budget.- Negotiated and secured support and minor grants (in the sum of $25k) from the Ministries of Health, Building and Housing and Disability Issues as well as Retirement Commission.- During my term the first national retirement village signed up to Lifemark, committing to build all future projects according to the Lifemark.       At the heart of the Kimberley region, the Shire of Halls Creek covers 142,908 square kms of mainly desert & pastoral country & is one of the largest predominantly indigenous communities in Australia. Located 1288km south-west of Darwin and 2873km north-east of Perth, Halls Creek is one of the most isolated towns in Western Australia. A region of focused economic development & the fourth fastest growing shire within WA, Halls Creek is a busy service hub for surrounding pastoralists, Aboriginal communities & travellers exploring the northern WA region. In 2014 the Shire of Halls Creek had total revenue of AUD$12m & Assets of AUD$52m. • The main strategic focus of the Shire's infrastructure is to escalate State & Federal government prioritisation of sealing the Tanami Road, covering 1100kms & linking Halls Creek to Alice Springs (see media article). I was involved in the operational planning, current conditions reports of the Tanami Road & how implementation of the sealing works might occur.• Liaison with Northern Minerals (see media article) regarding development of their Browns Range project to open cut & underground mine mixed rare earth (RE) carbonate for export. The project necessitates upgrade of the Duncan Road in order to accommodate road trains & other traffic servicing the mine site 160kms out of Halls Creek. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS*: - Flood damage repairs (AUD$3m) & routine maintenance of roads (1200kms, unsealed format)- Town streets pre-seal & kerbing (AUD$1.2m)- Construction of Yarliyil Art Centre & caretaker residence (AUD$1.5m)- Construction of 9 residential houses for key staff (AUD$3.5m) - Halls Creek airport lighting upgrade (AUD$250k)- Remote aerodrome upgrades – grading, fencing & drainage (AUD$300k)- Installation of new footpath & footbridge (AUD$160k)- Preparation & execution of public tenders, including all above- Negotiation of new leases for Art Centre & caretaker residence, Halls Creek airport and the Halls Creek Café Show less

It is the only private park in NZ with different levels of tracks, a range of hire bikes & tuition from experienced, accredited coaches available. Rider and bike hire numbers have also increased during that period, in line with the Park's long term strategic plan. We have a strong commitment to sustainability, with Thundercross being part of the Tiaaki Promise and Sustainable Tourism.
