Conducted extensive sampling of crude oil and saltwater entry points for a saltwater gathering pipeline system that was continually failing. Project activities included water sampling and screening, emergency response activities at pipeline fail locations including boom deployment, soil sampling and screening, assessment activities, and applying brine amendments to the spill locations.Conducted geological investigations involving saltwater disposal and trucking facilities above shallow drinking water aquifers. Project activities included determining boring locations, drill rig oversight, soil logging, site suitability determinations for facility locations, and final reports.Assisted in remediation and cleanup activities involving saltwater brine, crude oil, and diesel spill contaminated sites and prepared assessment reports.Managed geotechnical investigation projects along over 500 miles of crude oil pipeline including river crossings, pump stations, and tank farms.Operated and maintained company Geoprobe direct push sampler.Conducted Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Investigations.Managed permitting of oil and gas pipelines and completed permit applications.Conducted site visits and prepared oil SPCC plans for review and approval by professional engineer.Conducted stormwater site inspections of oil production facilities. Provided on-call emergency spill-response onsite project management, documentation, and safety oversight of simultaneous cleanup activities.Prepared work plans for subsurface assessments of hydrocarbon and saltwater impacted sites per North Dakota Department of Health guidelines and approval.Managed and provided oversight of saltwater spill cleanup, assessment, and remediation activities at a vandalized site near Tioga, ND where a spill entered a wetland. Responsibilities included contractor oversight and direction, soil and water sampling and screening, removal of impacted ice from frozen wetland, managing removed soils and backfill, and reclamation activities including wetland bank and drainage path reconstruction.Provided oversight of numerous cleanup activities involving releases of crude oil and saltwater from pipeline breaks, tank overflows, and fires. Project activities included soil screening with an EC probe and/or PID, collection of soil samples for laboratory analysis, contractor oversight and direction of excavations, managing manifests and waste, backfill materials, and reclamation.Provided oversight for a bio-remediation pump system installation at a site with crude oil impacted shallow groundwater. Responsibilities included managing multiple contractors onsite, installation direction oversight, and safety oversight.Managed and provided oversight of emergency response activities, cleanup, and assessment of a natural gas condensate release beneath a stockpond on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation. Responsibilities included contractor oversight and direction of significant water skimming and absorbent activities, soil and water screening sampling and screening, managing manifests and waste, backfill materials, and reclamation. This project included a large prescribed fire burn of the drained pond area.Provided oversight of monitoring well installations at various spill locations for short and long term groundwater monitoring.
